Westminster Child Development Center provides quality-based, curriculum-centered programming in a Christian-environment for families of varying socioeconomic levels in the Grand Rapids area.

Our sliding-scale fee ensures all income levels have access to our high-quality care.

WCDC is open to all.

It is not necessary to be a member of our church or our faith to enroll your child in WCDC. We recognize the need to provide a curriculum of learning that fosters the physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth of the children in our care.

We researched several centers and chose WCDC because of the amazing staff. Several of the teachers have been there for over a decade and their love of children is impressive. All of the teachers in the center made our children feel right at home from day one, and our kids both love attending WCDC.

We have been very impressed with the curriculum and enjoy hearing about what the kids learn each day. The teachers provide individualized attention to ensure that our children’s needs are being met, they are very flexible, and the directors are always happy to answer questions that we have.

We have also been impressed with the center’s dedication to providing high quality care to low-income families in our area. WCDC has been one of the best things about our move to Grand Rapids!

We continue to value the strong emphasis on education and social readiness. The teachers have been true partners in raising our children and it is with tremendous confidence that we entrust our children into their care each day.

My daughter is thriving with the love, attention, and education that the teachers at WCDC have provided. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and attentive to the special needs/basic needs of the children attending their program. I appreciate the opportunity to check in with teachers about how my daughter’s day was. They provide a plethora of learning opportunities, field trips, and fun projects for kids. There are also opportunities for me to get involved with the center and spend time with my child during the day, which is a great opportunity for me to see how my daughter is interacting with her friends and the teachers. I also appreciate the diversity of the center.

All in all, I have appreciated the opportunity to send my child to a place where I am confident that she is being cared for and not worry about her. I would recommend WCDC to any parent looking for an excellent daycare/educational program for their children.

I loved having a place to send my daughter where I knew for a fact that her safety and well-being were a top priority for her teachers. I sent my daughter to WCDC for almost six years and not a day goes by that I don't thank God for their role in her life. She was well prepared for Kindergarten and continues to excel. I look at WCDC as not just a place to ‘watch’ my child, but honestly love her and help her grow. I look forward to the birth of my son as he will also attend WCDC and get the same great experience as my daughter.

I am impressed by the fun-loving family environment that WCDC provides. The teachers are always open and up front about how my child’s day has gone. I also appreciate the sliding tuition scale as I am a single mother trying to provide the best for my child and this tuition break allows me to have the best possible care for my child. I also love that WCDC is located in the downtown area so my child can experience the diverse culture both in and around the center.

I am impressed by the teacher’s communications about my son’s day. They choose language that is positive… even if there may have been a difficult challenge that day. The staff is consistently professional and child-centered.

Our family joined WCDC shortly before the birth of our second child. We have been delighted to experience more than excellent childcare, but in fact, a true partnership in parenting. The knowledge, experience, and boundless dedication of the staff towards the needs of our children has been counted among the many blessing of our lives. Our children’s lives have been enriched by the many fieldtrips, by the fellowship with children from diverse backgrounds, and by the freedom to play, especially the messy projects that are appropriate and stimulating for them.
